We returned to the Somme in 2017 with well over double the number of riders.
Based in Arras for 3 nights we visited many of the iconic sites on The Somme including Thiepval, Deville Wood, and Mametz.
On the final day we cycled over Vimy Ridge culminating at Tyne Cot before attending the daily remembrance ceremony at the Menin Gate.
Some of the riders who participated have shared their stories of the ride and you can enjoy just a small selection of images captured during the epic ride by viewing our gallery below.
We’d like to thank the following for helping us make the 2017 Ride to the Somme such a memorable and successful event.

A huge thank you for providing our transport solution and the staff support. Also for the Crew Master Van which performed so many different roles during the event. For going beyond and entering a team of riders and doing it all with a smile.

Many thanks to the team at The Commonwealth War Graves Commission for all their support. We received excellent welcomes at Thiepval and Tyne Cot. All the riders commented how well looked after all the locations are.
