We completed our Somme journey in 2018.
This Ride was centred on Amiens and we followed the story of the 100 Day Offensive in addition to visiting Beaumont Hamel, Thiepval, Deville Wood, Mametz and much more.
For the last day we headed south to the forest outside Compiegne north of Paris. We finished by laying a wreath at Armistice Glade.
Below are some of the images from the Ride.
We’d like to thank the following for helping us make the 2018 Ride to the Somme a fitting conclusion to our three Rides.
Renault Trucks UK
Once again a big thank you to Renault Trucks for their outstanding support.
Commonwealth War Graves Commission
We visited more locations than ever away from the regular tour parties but all of the graves are lovingly cared for regardless of number of visitors.
Royal Engineers Museum, Chatham
A new starting point in 2018. An excellent museum and a chance for all the riders to spend time looking at the exhibits before we departed.
For our mobile branding – thank you.
Helping for the third year ensuring we got to France and back again.
